Grading

If you have questions or concerns about your grade, please don't hesitate to e-mail me. I usually update grades every two to three days, so your grade may not be current.

The Magister will grade each assignment and enter the grades in the online gradebook that you can access via the "My Tools" link above. Points for each assignment will vary based on the number of words translated.

The Final Grade in Latin 2.2 is based upon the overall accumulated percentage of all assignments in the course. The Magister will use the following scale to assign Final Grades:

A 90-100%
B 80-89%
C 70-79%
D not given
No Credit - course unfinished after five months

The Magister reserves the right to ask students to continue submitting tentative drafts until the Magister feels the student has mastered the story.

The Magister will transmit interim grades if asked for, but normally does not post on the Web a record of a student's progress. A final grade will be e-mailed to you and your adult contact from the COOLSchool Registrar. An official transcript will be mailed to the address indicated on your initial registration.
