Grading

I have a criteria sheet that goes with each lesson. The criteria I use for grading your work is at the bottom of each page, so you will know exactly what is expected of you for a grade. These criteria are based on the Oregon Art Standards and the LBL Scoring Guide. You are to turn in this criteria sheet with your work. When turning in work, you may either scan your work and send it to me via e-mail, or you may choose to have it go the old fashioned way with snail mail.

The due dates you set are not set in stone. You can submit assignments earlier or later. The dates you set are designed to help you progress through the course at your own pace. A timeline has been provided for this purpose. You have 10 months from the date you start the course to finish, unless your face-to-face school restricts you to a shorter time. Remember not to wait until the end! It's extremely obvious when an assignment was done at the last minute and your grade will reflect that. I put the approximate amount of time an assignment should take you in the course timeline, but, of course, individuals are different. Every time you check into this course you'll need to check your e-mail for new announcements, etc. To do this, go to My Tools. Here you'll need to select E-Mail or Announcements, and type in your user name and your password (you can later change your password by clicking the key symbol at the bottom of the E-Mail or Announcements page).
