Check your e-mail regularlyEvery time you check into this course, you'll need to check your e-mail for new announcements, etc. To do this, go to My Tools and click the E-Mail link. You'll need to type in your user name and your password (you can later change your password by selecting the key symbol at the bottom of the e-mail page). Pace yourselfThe due dates you set are not set in stone. You can submit assignments earlier or later. The dates you set are designed to help you progress through the course at your own pace. A timeline has been provided for this purpose. You have 10 months from the date you start the course to finish, unless your face-to-face school restricts you to a shorter time. Remember not to wait until the end! It's extremely obvious when an assignment was done at the last minute, and your grade will reflect that. I put the approximate amount of time an assignment should take you in the course timeline, but of course, individuals are different. Review grading criteria for each lessonThe criteria I use for grading your artwork are at the bottom of each lesson page, so you know exactly what is expected of you for a grade. These criteria are based on the Oregon Art Standards and the LBL Scoring Guides. Be sure to review the criteria for each assignment before you do it, and again before you turn it in. Turn in your work online or by mailMost of the lessons include drawings that you will send to me for grading. You may scan your artwork or use a digital camera to photograph it and send it to me electronically, or you may choose to have it go the old-fashioned way with "snail" mail. To send your work electronically: Scan or digitally photograph your work, save the images to your computer, and then upload them to Educator using the assignment link in each lesson.
To send your work by snail mail: Send the original and one photocopy of your work to me. Please use the Assignment link in the lesson to tell me that you've mailed it.
Check your gradesTo check your grades, go to the My Tools page and click on Grades.
