You will have ten months to complete the course; however, it is structured to fit into an 18 week semester, working about 4 hours per week.

In this course, we will study art from the Stone Age to the Byzantine Period.

The Stone Age to Byzantine Period:

• Time Period 1 - The Old and New Stone Age
• Time Period 2 - The Art of the Ancient Near-East
• Time Period 3 - Egyptian Art
• Time Period 4 - Aegean Art
• Time Period 5 - Greek Art
• Time Period 6 - Etruscan Art
• Time Period 7 - Roman Art
• Time Period 8 - Early Christian and Byzantine Art

If an assignment is not successfully completed, the student will have the option to correct it and return it before the end of course completion.

You are expected to take the Side Trips and Extensions in order to successfully complete the course and to get your broadest travel experience. If you find a Side Excursion that is particularly interesting, please let us all know about it.

All students must actively participate in the course discussions.
